We covered squat tension in our last blog which is something we see many people not focusing on enough. This video will cover maybe even a bigger culprit in a squat to nowhere. The failure to put your trunk in the right position is a recipe for a weak squat and/or an injured back.
It is crucial to make sure the ribs are down and the lower back is neutral. Forcing an overly lordotic curve in the lower back will put a lot of pressure in the lower back and the body will not be able to stabilize throughout the range of motion. This needs to start from the time you get underneath the bar all the way to the time the bar is racked. Watch the video for more details!
