Many people just show up to an OCR race with little to no specific training for race day, mostly because finding a facility with monkey bars, rings, ropes, and cargo nets is a challenge. At Tucson Strength we have the solution to your problem. This program offers qualified and experienced instruction to equip you with the fundamental skills you need to face terrain and Spartan race challenges.
Meeting every Sunday for six weeks, this program focuses on the skills and technique needed to traverse monkey bars, rings, ropes, and nets, then further supports those skills with loaded carries and all-around strength and conditioning work. This session includes outdoor training opportunities to practice additional conditioning.
All participants will have access to the gym’s OCR equipment to practice during the week. We’ll also include a running program to make sure you are prepared for race day.
This course leads up to the Spartan Race Arizona in Glendale on June 15th (you don’t have to do that race to be a part of the course).
